The band is led by British journeyman rocker Mick Jones (former member of Nero and the Gladiators, Spooky Tooth, and The Leslie West Band) who in early 1976 met with ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald and formed Foreigner with Lou Gramm of Rochester, NY - As three other musicians who were all unknown at the time to form a sextet. The band's debut album Foreigner sold more than four million copies in the United States and stayed in the Top Twenty for a year with such hits as "Feels Like the First Time", "Cold as Ice", and "Long Long Way From Home". Their sophomore effort, Double Vision, topped their previous selling five million records and spawned "Hot Blooded" and title track "Double Vision". The third album Head Games was also successful due to the thunderous "Dirty White Boy" and another title track hit "Head Games". 1980 brought personnel changes so that now the band was a quartet and Rick Wills played bass.

Rev On The Red Line Lyrics

Foreigner

Two in a row, everybody knows
At the green light you rev it on the red line
Been waitin all week to get my wheels on the street
Get my hands on the wheel, slide down in the seat
Shes wearin new colors and runnin pretty good
I got four hundred horses tucked under the hood
But theres no need to panic, its under control
Were aerodynamic and ready to roll
Rev on the red line
Youre on your own
Rev on the red line
Just let it go
Runnin all night on lake avenue
Its a piece of cake
If you know what to do
Youve got to lose a few
til the stakes get high
When the odds are right
You just blow by
And make no mistake, theres women who just wait
For the man and machine with the best time
Rev on the red line
Youre on your own
Feels like a lifetime
But soon youll know
Wasnt long ago I couldve lost my wheels
Had to outrun the law, it was no big deal
I guess they had a grudge, they were hot on my tracks
I had to pay off the judge to get my license back
Now I need to pin those needles, got to feel that heat
Hear my motor screamin while Im tearin up the street
Rev on the red line
Youre on your own
Rev on the red line
Just let it go
Rev on, rev on
Rev on, rev on
Dont think Ill ever learn to slow down
Rev on, youll still be here and Ill be gone
Rev on, rev on
