The band is led by British journeyman rocker Mick Jones (former member of Nero and the Gladiators, Spooky Tooth, and The Leslie West Band) who in early 1976 met with ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald and formed Foreigner with Lou Gramm of Rochester, NY - As three other musicians who were all unknown at the time to form a sextet. The band's debut album Foreigner sold more than four million copies in the United States and stayed in the Top Twenty for a year with such hits as "Feels Like the First Time", "Cold as Ice", and "Long Long Way From Home". Their sophomore effort, Double Vision, topped their previous selling five million records and spawned "Hot Blooded" and title track "Double Vision". The third album Head Games was also successful due to the thunderous "Dirty White Boy" and another title track hit "Head Games". 1980 brought personnel changes so that now the band was a quartet and Rick Wills played bass.

Luanne Lyrics

Foreigner

Luanne, luanne
Why do you run and hide?
Luanne, luanne
Dont keep your love inside
I wait around for you after school
You slip away and I dont see you
Dont know what Im gonna do
If you cant see how much I need you
We met, one day, and then, you ran away
Ive searched the whole town looking for you
I know youre there somewhere
Luanne, luanne
Why do you run and hide?
Luanne, luanne
Dont keep your love inside
I write letters that I never send
I keep the words to whisper to you someday
I dont know where and I dont know when
Luanne Im gonna get to you someway
I want to feel your love so close to me
Give me just half a chance
To prove myself, I need to
Luanne, luanne
Why do you run and hide?
Luanne, luanne
Dont keep your love inside
These days true love is so hard to find
Someday I know youre gonna be mine
Luanne, luanne, luanne, ooh
Luanne, luanne, luanne, luanne
Why do you run and hide?
Luanne, luanne, luanne, luanne
Dont keep your love inside
Luanne, luanne
Dont need to run and hide
Luanne, luanne
Dont keep your love inside
Luanne, luanne, luanne, luanne
I wanna be beside you, cant you understand?
Luanne, luanne, luanne, luanne
Give me a little love, I know you can
Luanne, luanne
Cant you hear me calling?
